What if you make the wrong decision at the wrong moment? Simon actually wants to celebrate a quiet Christmas with his two children in southern France. She manages to escape, but in doing so, she triggers a chain of entanglements that will become a disaster for Simon and Nathalie, thousands of kilometers away in Provence.

Charlotte Link, born in 1963, is one of the successful contemporary German authors. She publishes major social novels as well as psychological thrillers in the best English narrative tradition. The author, an active animal rights advocate for many years, lives with her family near Frankfurt/Main. In 2007, she was awarded the "Golden Feather" for her literary work.
