Banat/Romania 2014: Ioan Cozma has finished with the world. The crime commissioner lives alone, there are only a few years left until his retirement; if he doesn't attract attention, nobody will dig into his past. It's better that way. But the world won't leave him alone. Cozma, of all people, is put in charge of the investigation of a brutal murder case: young Lisa Marthen, a German, has been found stabbed to death. Her father owns a large agricultural business, and suspicion falls on one of his young field workers, who was in love with Lisa and has disappeared since her death. When a trail leads to Mecklenburg, Cozma sets off - and finds that he is not the only one there who wants to see justice done ...
