Der Mörder

Hans Kuperus lives in well-ordered circumstances with his wife and maid in a small Dutch town. Every month he attends a doctors' meeting - only twice does he skip it. The first time to convince himself that his wife is indeed cheating on him, as an anonymous letter claims. The second time he shoots them both, throwing the bodies into the canal. No one suspects him, and his life goes on as usual. But then Kuperus learns who the sender of the letter was. And when the ice melts, the canal releases the two corpses.
