Der Koran

The present paperback "The Quran: Commentary and Concordance" is an unaltered reprint of the major edition published under the same title, supplemented by additions and corrections. As an indispensable tool for a deeper understanding of the Quran, it complements the Quran translation presented by Rudi Paret in paperback form. The commentary is organized by surahs and verses; here, an attempt is made to reproduce and explain the wording of the Quran in its original meaning. Additionally, there are definitions and interpretations of individual Quranic terms, explanations of linguistic peculiarities, and references to relevant literature. The concordance is integrated into the commentary and indicates the passages where a contextual relationship in the Quran occurs in the same or a similar way.
