Naples in the Nineties: Giovanna is thirteen years old, the model daughter of cultured middle-class parents and a diligent student. But suddenly everything changes: her body, her mood, her grades plummet, and she increasingly clashes with her parents. By chance, Giovanna uncovers the backstory of her father, who comes from a completely different Naples, a passionate, vulgar Naples. She wanders around there, but the secrets she encounters disturb her. When she notices during a dinner how a family friend tenderly caresses her mother's feet under the table, she completely loses her composure. Because who can she even trust anymore? And what can give her stability? Or is she already irretrievably entangled in this deceitful life of adults?.
