Hans Wollschläger's Letters: an essential part of his literary oeuvre. This volume contains a first extensive selection of letters from the last twenty years of Wollschläger's life. The focus is on his projects from 1988 to 2007, which he pursued with passion and meticulousness, including the historical-critical edition of the works of Karl May, the edition of the works of Friedrich Rückert, the management and organization of the works, writings, and translations from the 1970s and 1980s, and - from the late 1990s onwards - efforts to compile his own works. Thus, these are broadly "letters about the work" of this significant author, translator, and editor.
