Alles Kokolores?

Colloquial language is often puzzling. It is full of strange words in the Rhineland that can be speculated about magnificently. What lies behind terms like Fisimatenten, Fisternöll, piesacken, Nonnenfürzchen, Pittermännchen, Kaventsmann, Kokolores, Zimtzicke, Heckmeck, abnippeln, Gesocks, Kohldampf, blümerant, or Muckefuck? What do they mean exactly, where do they come from, and who 'invented' them? Many stories are told about these and other words, often very imaginative, sometimes close to the truth, and even more often completely made up.
