Aesthetic theory

There is no theory that is not aesthetically significant in some way. Adorno also did not simply understand the design of his Aesthetic Theory as a theory of the aesthetic, but was aware of the aesthetic implications of theory. At the same time, we are dealing with aesthetic objects and events that have an aesthetic theory inherent to them, which manifests itself as art. Thus, both sides – theory and aesthetics – can connect to that etymological meaning of theoria, which understands the theoretical as a seeing or a perspective. This connection and simultaneity is what the volume explores. The focus is on considerations in which the aesthetic implications of theory and the theoretical implications of aesthetic events are equally addressed.
