Author's text
Born in Steyr in 1954. After completing a degree in German and Spanish, he worked as a teacher and lecturer at universities in Madrid and Vienna. He now lives as a writer and translator in Vienna.

Blurb
On August 18, 1933, the doorman of the Steyr hospital discovered a sleeping child. Next to the infant, who was wrapped in rags, lay a piece of paper with the awkwardly written note: "My name is Sidonie Adlersburg and I was born on the road to Altheim. Please find me parents.".
