Product details
Pascal Quignard, born in 1948, is one of the most renowned contemporary authors in France. He is the author of a significant body of literary work comprising over thirty novels, stories, and essays, which have been translated into many languages, but have largely gone unnoticed in Germany so far. As innovative as he is successful, he repeatedly engages with the historical genre. His novel "Tous les matins du monde" (translated as "The Seventh String") provided the book for Alain Corneau's film of the same name. Growing up in Le Havre in a family of musicians, Pascal Quignard now lives far from the Paris literary scene in Normandy and steadfastly pursues his writing project, which transcends all genres and brings the violence of the distant past closer to us.
