What is a Denier?

A Denier is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights. The lower the Denier number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or panty is. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker the fabric and the less visible the skin is.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and leggings in 50 and 100 Den, where the skin is hardly visible. Their use is common in autumn and winter.

Tights and leggings with a low Denier number are usually used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used year-round, for example, for ceremonies, as the stockings appear more elegant due to their thin form.

High numbers (40, 70...) are typically used for autumn-winter.
