Question about SureFeed Microchip automatic feeder

I bought the vending machine three years ago. After exactly two years, the batteries suddenly lasted only 3 minutes! It was enough to open by pressing a button to fill the vending machine. After that, the batteries died. Has anyone else had the same experience?

4 x Baby-C batteries is correct, Bil-digitec mentioned. They last a long time, by the way. We bought 2 of the SureFeeds at the end of August 2018 and they are still in use with the first set of batteries (not included).
