Hello together, We have two cats. One is rather shy, the other extremely alert, cheeky and ... extremely greedy. Hence the question: Shy cat is hungry and goes to the feeder. Cat naughty notices that the feeder opens and pushes cat shy away. Is the feeder safe and strong enough to keep cheeky cat away from the food without injury, even if she just keeps her head in the bowl? (When it comes to eating, the cat takes on a lot of resistance...)

She will definitely pull her head back when it closes. Otherwise, the risk of injury is extremely minimal because the pressure of the flap is not very great. Our cat also takes his head away as soon as the sound is heard when the cap closes.
