The drag line is a special dog leash that is usually between five and 15 meters long. It is used as a tool in dog training, especially for young animals. It allows the dog to explore and roam freely without leaving them to their own devices.

Young dogs often do not immediately respond to their owner's commands. When they are in their adolescent phase, they test their boundaries, similar to children and teenagers. This phase begins around the 9th month; before that, most dogs have a natural follow instinct. When you use a drag line for training afterward, you give your dog a sense of freedom. Thanks to the immense length of the drag line, they can stray from the path, follow a scent, and perhaps even jump into the water. They may not even notice the leash. This way, you provide them with plenty of freedom without losing control.
