SunSun HW-703B Aquarium External Canister 1400 l/h 30 W – 9 W UVC – Aquarium Filter with 3 stages

The SunSun aquarium external filter HW-703 B with UVC unit is ideal for freshwater and saltwater aquariums with a water volume of up to 600 liters.

This quiet filter has a pump capacity of up to 1400 liters per hour. Rubber feet provide optimal vibration dampening.

It can be placed space-saving under or next to the tank. For optimal positioning, the hose connections on the top of the lid can be rotated 360°.

The delivery includes filter media for three filtration stages. The filter baskets with practical handles can be individually filled with filter material. Please note that the filter materials are arranged from coarse to fine:

1. Stage: mechanical filtration (e.g., filter fleece)
2. Stage: biological filtration (e.g., bio balls, ceramic rings)
3. Stage: chemical filtration (e.g., activated carbon, phosphate remover)

The highlight of the HW-703 B external filter is the integrated UVC unit. The UVC radiation kills harmful algae, bacteria, and pathogens, which can be easily removed from the water cycle through mechanical filtration.

The lifespan of the UVC lamp is between 7000 and 10000 operating hours. Therefore, we recommend replacing the UV lamp annually and cleaning the quartz glass of the UV lamp.

Operation:
After the filter media have been inserted, the external filter is filled with water. This is done by simply pressing down the pump cylinder on the top of the external filter several times.

The multifunctional valve on the pump head features a quick coupling that allows the hoses to be disconnected from the filter container without needing to be emptied first. With the multifunctional valve, the flow can be regulated, and leakage of aquarium water can be prevented.
