EDIT: This would be the right https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s15/product/petlibro-dockstream-ersatzfilter-x8-084-l-futternapf-39533334 for this drinking fountain.
According to our information, the term "wireless" refers to the wireless pump, not to the entire water dispenser. The device itself requires a power connection, but the pump works without a direct cable connection.
If the fountain is not plugged in, it is switched off and only turns on when the animal comes near it. Unfortunately, the presence sensor isn't that sensitive and often leaves the animal without water. Mine I had to leave plugged in constantly. I have two cats.
The CHF 98.90 model has an integrated rechargeable battery, making it independent of a nearby power source for a few days.
You can also leave the more expensive drinking fountain permanently connected to the power supply, but then the proximity sensor is deactivated and the fountain runs as long as it is connected to the mains.
The other difference: the drinking fountain for CHF 98.90 has a stainless steel drinking bowl, while the one for CHF 58.90 is made of plastic.
What is meant by torture? Cruelty to animals? you can't do it without a base station because the battery is inside, without a well trunk yes you can take it away
Good morning everyone. My appliance is running non-stop (mains operation) and I always have a monster puddle under the appliance (between the appliance and the charging station) as well as under the station itself. I have no idea why... either my cats are drooling so much or the appliance spits at night... but I always thought it was haunted by a ghost... although it wouldn't be a ghost, which is why it's haunting and not haunted.
Anyway, I don't believe that the well itself is leaking... nor that someone is trying to knock it over. Our butler, Mr Robo Vacuum Cleaner, is busy, but he's always on the lookout.
Anyway, does anyone else have dripping wet problems?
Otherwise great product, cats love to drink it :-)
I can reassure you: The fountain is definitely leak-proof (it has a closed bowl without openings; otherwise any crack would be clearly visible).
The fact that a puddle forms around the fountain is quite normal and has a four-legged, furry reason with pointed ears: Due to the fact that cats ingest water with their tongues, they inevitably splash when drinking.
If they then, as with our "Götschis", also slurp outwards at the edge of the bowl, a lot of water can very quickly collect in and around the drinking fountain.
For this reason, we have placed our fountain on a rubber mat with a raised edge.
