Hello
In theory, it's only for dry food. I wouldn't risk it for wet food, especially as it would dry out in the bins! As for the rest of the functions and the application, it's great!
The Petkit Fresh Element Gemini has a rechargeable battery or battery operation: It offers an emergency power supply via four D batteries (type D, not included). These serve as a backup so that the food dispenser continues to work even in the event of a power failure or loss of Wi-Fi connection and can dispense up to 15 meals per day for up to 180 days.

1. function of the batteries
- They are optional, supplementing the normal power supply via the mains adapter supplied.
- They supply energy in energy-saving mode, for example when the feeder is offline or you are not at home.
- Typical use: holidays, prolonged absence from the appliance, power failure.

Hello, this automatic feeder can be operated with batteries. However, the batteries are intended more as a back-up in the event of a power cut. I would rather recommend connecting the feeder to the mains. I can highly recommend this feeder.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to add the food bowl with camera to our range. This item is the feeding bowl with sensor that can be controlled via app to analyse feeding behaviour.
Hi Benjamin, no it doesn't have a camera, but as soon as my cats have been to eat, it shows in the app when and how long they have been eating.
Kind regards

I don't know exactly what type of food you use for your Maine Coons, but it's quite possible to put in larger pieces of food. As long as you don't try to put in a whole apple, I think it's fine.
