Product details
The Marina 2-in-1 Breeding Box is a floating breeding container for aquarium animals. This breeding box is excellent for raising fish and isolating injured or aggressive fish. The small plastic tank is simply placed into your existing aquarium. Two air chambers on the outside ensure that it does not sink and floats on the water's surface. Below the air chambers are narrow slits that allow for constant water exchange, eliminating the need for additional filtration for the breeding container. A removable divider and partition split the box both horizontally and vertically. If you place a pregnant female in one half and she releases her fry, they have the opportunity to escape under the divider or into the other half. This is important because immediately after birth, the newborn fish are only food for the mother. Once the birthing process is complete, you can safely remove the female from the small tank and carefully take out the divider and partition. This gives the young fish more space to grow and thrive. The Marina 2-in-1 Breeding Box can also be used as an isolation station for sick or injured animals. Additionally, suppressed or overly aggressive fish can be temporarily housed until you find a permanent solution.
