Product details
Two important factors affect the water temperature in the aquarium: room temperature and sunlight exposure. When the room temperature rises significantly in summer, it is essential to regularly monitor the temperature in the aquarium. The target range is 24-26 °C. Temperatures above 30 °C are very problematic and can cause significant harm to fish and plants. Aquariums should also never be exposed to direct sunlight. The higher the temperature, the worse the solubility of oxygen, which is vital for the animals.
Installation is straightforward: the mounting bracket of the cooler is placed on the edge of the aquarium (up to a maximum thickness of 2 cm) and secured with clamping screws. The direction of the airflow is adjustable, and the housing on the bracket can be rotated 360°. The xCooler for freshwater and saltwater aquariums cools the water temperature by 2-4 °C using cross-flow fans. The airflow causes warm water to evaporate from the surface, creating evaporative cooling, similar to the cooling effect of a wet body part exposed to the wind.
Safety: The water cooler features a safety cover grid and operates on a low voltage of 12 volts.
