Filter media for phosphate removal in freshwater and saltwater

Phosphate levels above 0.25 mg/l in freshwater and 0.1 mg/l in saltwater can lead to algae problems. 340 g of JBL PhosEx ultra permanently binds 18,000 mg of phosphate. The product consists of an insoluble iron compound that does not release any toxic substances into the water. The effect is measurable within 24 hours. The filter media is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater.
