Filter medium for freshwater to remove nitrate
JBL offers two nitrate removers: JBL NitratEx provides quick assistance and works from the very first minute. Once its exchange capacity is exhausted, it must be regenerated with a saline solution (ion exchange principle).
On the other hand, JBL Bio NitratEX is a substrate that provides living space and food for nitrate-reducing bacteria. After a certain acclimatization period (a few weeks), the bacteria then break down nitrate in a purely natural biological way.
So, if you don't have time to wait or want to remove nitrate from tap water immediately, choose JBL NitratEx.
