Plant debris, food residues, and metabolic products deteriorate the quality of aquarium water. Good water quality is essential for promoting the health of fish and plants in the aquarium. This can be achieved through various filters and different filter materials. The filters draw in the aquarium water and remove pollutants and waste through the filter material. Carbomec activ is a highly active filter carbon designed to eliminate medication residues, water discoloration, and high molecular weight organic contaminants from freshwater aquariums. Carbomec activ is set to pH 7, making it ideally suited for the pH range of 6.5 to 7.5. It can be used without concern, as it does not release phosphate into the water and does not increase conductivity.
