The areas to be glued must be clean, dry and free of grease. In the case of old aquariums, you should remove all putty and silicone residue before re-bonding. Smooth the bonded areas with a finger dipped in washing-up liquid. Curing takes place after 24 hours. However, when building glass aquariums, a curing time of 2-3 days should be waited for and the tank should then be thoroughly washed out. Excess material can be removed with a sharp razor blade.
