The Fluval FX6 external filter allows for precise stacking of filter media in the combination that is most suitable for the aquarium, thanks to its multi-stage filtration system. This ensures unrestricted flexibility to create and maintain the ideal environment for the fish. The enormous capacity and the powerful integrated motor, which circulates a full 2300 liters of water per hour, enable precise adjustment of water properties in aquariums up to 1500 liters. It can hold up to 5.9 liters of filter media while remaining compact enough to fit in almost any aquarium cabinet. With Fluval's unique intelligent pump technology, simply plugging the filter into the power supply activates the self-priming system, and the filter starts automatically. The filter then fills with water, briefly pauses to release trapped air, and immediately begins the filtration process. Filtration continues until the unit is unplugged. Every 12 hours, the filter pauses to release any air that has entered the system, maintaining the vacuum necessary for maximum efficiency. Additionally, the Fluval external filter features a connection for refilling the aquarium.
