This specially designed plastic container mimics the conditions under which eggs are incubated in the wild. Made from a durable, non-decomposable, and easy-to-clean plastic, this system can be operated very simply and safely. The incubation water is directed from top to bottom through a centrally located inlet pipe that is open on both sides. The large diameter (30 mm) of the water supply and a semi-circular shaped bottom allow for optimal flow conditions. The water requirement is approximately 4 l/min. The Profibreed egg container comes with a 1,000-micron cover sieve that prevents the loss of eggs. When the fish hatch, remove the cover sieve to allow the fish to swim freely. Suitable for trout, salmon, rock bass, catfish, tilapia, and many other fish species. Capacity for approximately 100,000 trout eggs.
