Product details

Bacteria play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of an aquarium. When setting up an aquarium for the first time, it is practically sterile. Without active assistance, it is known to take several months for a stable bacterial population to develop.

During this time, water quality can fluctuate significantly. Therefore, Dennerle research has developed FB1 substrate starter bacteria - a highly active culture of selected soil bacteria for all freshwater aquariums. The bacterial granulate is simply sprinkled onto the plant substrate during aquarium setup and then covered with gravel.

One package containing 50 g of FB1 substrate starter bacteria is sufficient for a 120 l / 80 cm aquarium.

FB1 quickly transforms the substrate into a powerful bio-filter, which means: better water quality for the benefit of the fish.
