The lid is now made of a weather-resistant screen printing board, with sealed cut edges. The rough side is on top to prevent the squirrel from slipping. The sleeping house is designed to keep the animals safe and dry throughout the winter, ensuring that the young do not fall to the ground upon their first exit. To achieve this, we have created a small "balcony" to prevent any young from falling.
Unlike other nesting boxes, the lid can be opened from the top for cleaning. It is equipped with two high-quality hinges and a latch. If the nesting box is accidentally opened, unlike most side-opening boxes, the young and nesting material do not fall out.
Dimensions of the nesting box: approximately 30 cm in length, 27 cm in height, 30 cm in width, with a wood thickness of 18 mm. The box has three entrances with a diameter of approximately 60 mm.
