I do NOT think that it is a motion sensor as stated in the product description - it seems to me to be more of a brightness sensor - which means that the 2 minute chirping sequence is restarted not only when the light is switched on, e.g. in the bathroom, but also when it is switched off (and when leaving the toilet). The box is a lot of fun, but the description is irritating.

I would be very surprised if this were not the case, as this is also described on the manufacturer's website.

I also have one of these in the bathroom. The bathroom has no window. When I go in after dark, it suddenly chirps. So it has a motion detector in it. That has nothing to do with light, etc.
