Is it possible to buy the mains plug, i.e. the part that connects to the cable and plugs into the socket, individually?

I have several products from Hue, the LED Light Strip still worksand I have tested it with another power adapter from my other LED strip. It only killed the power socket for me. Can you buy these individually somewhere? Many thanks in advance!

Answer

If you mean the controller box, I don't think so. You can replace the power supply unit with any other. Just make sure you have the right plug or socket. Or re-solder/clamp the cable
