Question about Mondaine Magnet

Held directly to the ear, yes, at half arm's length I no longer hear anything

Unfortunately, I am hard of hearing and therefore perhaps not the best person to tell you, but I don't think you can hear the second hand. I'm not so sure about the minute hand, though!
