The wheat grain candles are based on the colour harmony of nature. They are poured by hand and are fully coloured. The special wax mixture, the calm and even burning as well as the bright colours make the wheat grain candle a convincing quality product. Weizenkorn is a social enterprise in which mainly young men and women with support needs work. They experience acceptance and appreciation through meaningful work. Over 300 people are employed in a supported workplace or are completing an apprenticeship. In the wood workshop, candle studio, sales, accounting, catering and hotel business, employees are supported by the internal social services department and 80 team members. The aim of the support work is to strengthen existing skills and improve employability in the private sector. Weizenkorn has been in existence since 1979 and is recognised by the federal and cantonal governments as a sheltered workshop and supplier of vocational clarifications.
