Kukinto Vase by Venini
The Kukinto vase glass is elegant and harmonious, as if it were floating in the air. It comes to life and begins to move. It transitions from red to apple green and sapphire blue, ending in a classic black tone. Clear glass on clear glass. Elegant like flower petals, as light as a ballerina's tutu. Timo Sarpaneva was an international force in Finnish design. His homeland has earned a reputation as a design melting pot since the end of World War II. As a designer, sculptor, and educator, he came from a long line of veneer craftsmen who worked with metal, wood, textiles, ceramics, and porcelain, instilling in him a passion for combining form and function.
Timo Sarpaneva Design - Kukinto Vase
This charming mouth-blown Venini vase made of blown glass with colored bands was designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1991 and is available in black, red, apple green, sapphire blue, and clear glass with a straight body and funnel neck. This colorful crown of Nordic flowers, mouth-blown by a glass master, seems to gently float in the air. "Kukinto" means fluorescent in Finnish, and the radiant vase truly resembles colorful flowers. The perfect object for interior decoration, as a container for any room, or as a strong statement piece.
