Magino Stool and Magazine Rack. No smoke and mirrors: Karim Rashid leverages his experience to design a stunning stool for the Canadian brand Umbra. Instead of a solid, vividly colored sculpture as a focal point, Karim Rashid takes a different approach for Umbra: In its clear presence, the stool does not immediately reveal all its capabilities. On one hand, its surface can also serve as a small side table or nightstand, while on the other hand, its two runners hold magazines and periodicals. By skillfully arranging the magazine covers, one can turn the Magino Stool into a striking display piece in their decor.
