Umbra Flip

David Quan designs a wall coat rack for the Canadian brand Umbra that can be used not only in the hallway but also in the kitchen. The elegantly rounded body made of metal or wood features a striped pattern at first glance, which upon closer inspection reveals itself to be metal coat hooks. These hooks can be easily pushed down to hang a jacket, bag, or dish towel, but snap back almost flush into the body when not in use. Whether equipped with three, five, or eight coat hooks, the Flip hook rack from Umbra makes optimal use of available space as a wall coat rack in the hallway and bedroom, as well as a kitchen hook for dish towels.
