The French artist Edgar Degas had a remarkable ability to capture moments in time. In addition to his painterly depictions of horses, ballet dancers were also among Degas's favorite artistic subjects. As a result, many of the motifs created by the artist, who was born in Paris in 1834, are dedicated to ballet, where grace and lightness take center stage.

In the artwork "Two Dancers in Yellow," the viewer is presented with the elegance of young ballet dancers. Particularly striking is the fact that the two dancers are set in a natural environment. The yellow of their costumes harmonizes beautifully with the summery blue sky and the green meadow, the shade of which is also reflected in the attire.

The original was created in 1896 and was painted with pastel and charcoal on paper.
