Trenddeko de Goya - The spring

The Spanish painter Francisco José de Goya left behind more than 800 paintings, lithographs, and etchings after his death in 1928. Many of his works feature motifs interpreted in the unique style that Goya developed throughout his artistic career. The range of his artistic output included religious frescoes, altarpieces, and prints that critically addressed the social and political conditions of his time.

With the title "Spring," Goya created a charming motif. As delicate as the flower, the young woman is depicted with her hand encompassing the flower's stem. It is unclear to whom the second hand on the bloom belongs, and it remains a mystery. The high-quality glass artwork provides a mood-enhancing wall decoration that also spreads a spring-like atmosphere.

The original hangs in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
