Poster Sparshott - Col du Glandon

David Sparshott is a UK-based illustrator who completed his studies at the Bristol School of Art & Design in 2006. He creates his drawings using graphite and colored pencils. His works are characterized by a harmonious interplay of playful observations and detailed lines. Reportage and observational drawing are essential components of David's practice. He has worked for various clients, including The New York Times, General Electric, Ride Journal, Rapha, and Magma Books.

The Col du Glandon stands at 1,924 meters high. The road on the mountain is popular for the Tour de France, and for private cyclists, the route is open from May to October. Unfortunately, the road of the Col du Glandon is off the popular Route des Grandes Alpes. Finds along the road have shown that even the Romans enjoyed using this route. The detour through the Isère Valley was likely too long for them.
