Trenddeko Canaletto - Dresden from the right bank of the river Elbe

The Venetian painter Bernardo Bellotto, known as Canaletto, was famous for his realistic depictions of cities and landscapes. The so-called vedutas could be considered precursors to modern photography due to their theatrical presentation, but they can also be regarded as works of art. During his creative period, when Canaletto settled in Dresden, one of his most famous works was created, which is available here as a glass picture titled "Canaletto – Dresden from the Right Bank of the Elbe." The beautiful view of the Frauenkirche, the Augustus Bridge, and the Elbe waterfront in the Neustadt is not only a perfect wall decoration for Dresden fans. The high-quality art print on glass brings back the atmosphere of the former residence city of the Electors, which impressed the painter Canaletto so much that he settled there with his wife and children in 1747.
