Arne Jacobsen Alarm Clock. Originally designed by the Danish designer for the manufacturer Lauritz Knudsen in 1939, this table clock features a hand-wound movement made from a novel material called plastic. The round clock case rests on an elegant arch made of stainless steel. The Danish manufacturer Rosendahl incorporates a modern quartz movement (AA 1.5V battery, not included) in each table clock, which reliably wakes you without the need for daily winding. Instead of a clanging metal bell, it uses an electronic chime that gently increases in volume. Additionally, the modern version of this classic includes a backlit dial with a sensor switch and a snooze function.
