Probably not. The bulb needs a constant voltage and is controlled and dimmed via HUE Bridge.

This bulb is fully compatible with the rest of the HUE range, so it can also be dimmed and switched with all accessories.
However, I would like to say that I no longer use this bulb because it is very susceptible to EMC.
Every time I close or open my blinds with a button, this bulb switches on. This is not the case with any of the other 20 or so HUE bulbs in my household.

The light colour is golden white, i.e. a very warm shade of white (analogous to the former carbon filament lamp). When dimmed, it becomes darker, but unfortunately also somewhat cooler in white.
