The design of the Fyr Stool focuses on simplicity and quality. Fyr is made from solid pine wood and impresses with its minimalist design and subtle details. Its versatile design makes Fyr suitable for numerous uses, such as an extra seat, a side table, an exhibition table, or even as a decorative sculpture. The Fyr Stool is named after the Danish word for pine to highlight the unique character and durability of the material. The combination of angular and round elements creates a perfectly balanced design that exudes strength and elegance. In search of a stool that is both practical and simple yet fascinating, designer Yuchen Wu created numerous sketches before arriving at his final design. Regarding the design process, Yuchen Wu says, "When designing something as simple as a stool, the challenge is to make it uncomplicated and practical while still being interesting. The result is a balanced combination of robustness, simplicity, and details, with the material pine at the center.".
