Normann Copenhagen Ace

The Danish designer Hans Hornemann drew inspiration for the Ace series from his own life in Copenhagen. The series is aimed at urban dwellers who value quality and aesthetics but also need to adapt to the limited space of city living. In designing Ace, Hans Hornemann focused on the fundamental components of a chair - the backrest, seat, and legs - creating a functional and aesthetic design that is more delicate than traditional lounge furniture. The design strikes a fine balance between the refined and the relaxed. Rounded contours emphasize the inviting volume of the fully upholstered pieces, elegantly framed by the piping around the seat and back. The slightly tilted backrest and playfully angled legs give the design a timeless and casual elegance.
