After the successful project with Parsons The New School for Design in 2007, Nachtmann expanded its relationships with world-renowned design schools and initiated a new competition with the Pratt Institute in New York in 2010. The design "Quartz" by design student Catherine Merrick was awarded in this competition. Quartz sand is one of the essential raw materials in the production of crystal glass. The sparkling surfaces of the raw material in its crystalline structure inspired Catherine Merrick. Color: clear
