The Berlin company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, every rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are sheared for their wool, and the support of a manufacturing facility in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and felted into balls using a patented process. These felt balls are then used to create a complete wool rug, which features its own characteristic color patterns, such as the Carl felt ball rug in subtle gray natural tones. For the largest sizes, myfelt hand-sews up to 50,000 felt balls individually, always in strict adherence to fair trade and European health and safety regulations: Each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" label as a corresponding certification.
