Wood is a natural product; cracks and knots are intentional. The old wood look resembles wood that has been stored for 100 years. The frame color is black, and the wood is limed, sanded black, and lacquered with clear varnish. The unusual surface treatment gives the wood a vintage appearance.

Thermo spruce is processed through a specially developed method where the spruce wood is steamed with high heat and dried simultaneously, completely without chemical additives. It is 100% organic, and the wood becomes much harder through the thermo process. The wood is sourced from nearby sawmills in Bavaria and comes from sustainable cultivation.
