Lyngby Porcelain Vase. This flower vase is a reflection of Danish design history: Lyngby Porcelæn has been producing porcelain tableware and accessories in the town of the same name, north of Copenhagen, since 1936, with most designs drawing inspiration from the then-popular (and still beloved) Bauhaus style. During this time, this simple, cylindrical shape with a rounded base was created, which captivates with its fine fluting. Although the company had to close its doors in 1969, this flower vase has maintained its place in Danish design history. And today – with the growing popularity of Bauhaus and Mid-Century design – the Lyngby Vase, now distributed by Rosendahl, is back in fine porcelain – and as beautiful as ever!.
