Componibili container furniture. A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, part of the permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a nightstand next to the bed or as a stackable shelf in the bathroom and kitchen. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only partially stackable. The sliding doors, elegantly adapted to the round design with their carved grip hole, are a clever touch: it’s hard to find a narrow chest of drawers that is as space-saving and stylish. Kartell offers this design classic by Anna Castelli-Ferrieri in various heights, with two, three, or four closing compartments or elements.
