Our note: While coconut fiber mats can be left outdoors year-round, they do not tolerate prolonged wetness (persistent rain or continuous snow) or excessive direct sunlight or heat. This can damage the natural fibers, so the mats should only be placed in protected, covered outdoor areas. During cleaning and use, the mats may shed a small amount of fibers, which is normal and due to the natural fibers.
