Product details
The term "Ten Kei" can be translated as "Gift of Heaven" and symbolizes the beauty of nature. Inspired by this, the handcrafted fittings, adorned with gold and silver, reflect delicate floral motifs. The blade has been hand-forged in the intricate Kobuse style, where a hard outer layer of 1095 carbon steel encases a core of softer, low-carbon steel. The grip is wrapped in green silk in the Katate-Maki style (warrior wrapping). The scabbard is finished with a high-gloss lacquer and buffalo horn accents. Grip length is 29.5 cm, blade length is 71 cm, and weight without the scabbard is 1050 g.
