Product details
Miyamoto Musashi is recognized as one of the most remarkable samurai in Japanese history, having lived from 1584 to 1645. He is celebrated as the greatest swordsman in Japan. Musashi was a fighter, artist, and craftsman all at once. He developed his own fighting style, known as "Niten Ichiryu," which is still taught today. This style employs both short and long swords simultaneously. His founding of a school for tsuba (guard) making is unforgettable. His most famous and very simple tsuba consists of two oval rings.
- Blade in Shinogi-Zukuri style with a fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged from 1045 carbon steel.
- The blade is finely sharpened with an integrated Hamon line for a particularly authentic appearance.
- Handle wrapping made of black cotton in the classic Hineri-Maki style.
- Black, high-gloss lacquered scabbard (Kuroro style) made of wood.
- The tanto is fully disassemblable.
- No plastic is used; only high-quality, authentic materials are employed.
- Blade collar (Habaki) and spacers (Seppa) are made of brass.
- The traditional handle wrapping is backed with genuine ray skin.
- All fittings (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are made of metal.
